Medications

•  Prescriptions/Medications. You may only have prescription medications for which you have a current, valid prescription by a doctor, and you must keep your prescription medications in a locked box and submit a copy of the key to the FSRC Office . Only you may use or possess your medications. Before beginning/taking any new medication(s) or if your medication(s) or dosage change you are required to submit the proper documentation to the office.

•  Prescription syringes. The office will control and monitor all current, valid prescribed syringes.

•  Over-the-counter medications. Before beginning/taking any over-the-counter medication(s) you are required to contact the Programs and Housing Director/Coordinator Note: The use of over-the-counter medications are allowed only with the consent of Programs and Housing Director/Coordinator.

Poppy Seed Policy

•  Fresh Start Recovery Coalition prohibits the consumption of any food item that has poppy seeds in it. Eating poppy seeds results in a positive urinalysis, in which FSRC will then ask you to leave immediately. This is a strict policy with no room for discussion.

Smoking

•  No smoking is allowed in the house except in a designated smoking area! Smokers must dispose of smoking materials safely, and smoking areas must be kept clean. You must use ashtrays or butt cans. Properly dispose of your butts, matches, wrappers, empty packs, etc. Do not mash your butts out on sidewalks, walls, etc.

Outside Support

•  As a Fresh Start Recovery Coalition you are required to attend a minimum of two outside AA, NA, or similar meetings per week.

House Meetings

•  You are required to attend the mandatory house meeting. If all family members agree, and with prior approval of the Programs and Housing Director/Coordinator , the house can go on an outing (bowling, movie, etc) in lieu of a Weekly Family Meeting.

Monthly Community Meetings

•  Fresh Start Recovery Coalition holds mandatory Monthly Community Meetings on the last Tuesday of every month (subject to change) at 7:00 PM sharp at The Fresh Start Recovery Coalition Office.

Room rules

•  You are not allowed to enter another family member's room unless they are present.

•  You are required to make your bed each day when you get up.

•  You are required to keep your room area orderly and free of clutter

•  No locks of any kind are allowed on bedroom doors!

•  Fresh Start Recovery Coalition Staff members and approved authorized agents/designees will have full access to rooms and will enter at any time to insure safety.


Rules of Conduct

All Family Members will be treated with the utmost respect at all times.

•  Assertiveness is sometimes necessary, but being aggressive will not be tolerated.

•  Respect the rights of others. Always treat family members, as you would like to be treated.

•  Do not swear at, or use vulgar language toward any family member.

•  Always knock before entering a family member's room.

•  Avoid uncontrolled confrontations. If at any time you feel there might be an escalated confrontation with a family member, call the field supervisor, housing manager or any other authorized staff members.

•  Never engage in any negative physical contact with a family member. This includes pushing, pointing, or invading personal space.

•  No physical or sexual contact/relations with family members is allowed.

•  Do not lend money to family members.

Disciplinary Action

•  All family members are subject to disciplinary Action for any act or action which is not grounds for immediate discharge

as determined by the Programs and Housing Director/Coordinator.

•  Disciplinary action may consist of, but is not limited to, a verbal warning a written warning and discharge.

Discharges

•  Only the Programs and Housing Director/Coordinator, or the Executive Director may discharge family members or order their discharge.

•  Any property that is left behind after a discharge will be transported to the FSRC Office and you or your authorized representative must schedule a pickup immediately. FSRC is not a storage facility; therefore all property must be picked up within 7 business days. After 7 business days, unclaimed property will be disposed of.
