Family Member Rules

The rules stated below are for sober living and

THE CONDITIONS FOR BECOMING AND
REMAINING A FAMILY-OF-CHOICE MEMBER

for those desiring to build their lives.
The safety of our homes and our family members are our top priority.

Understand that: Fresh Start Recovery Coalition sober living residence is not a licensed facility or program;
FSRC Sober Living Residences provide Structured Sober living for individuals in recovery.

Basic Rules

•  No alcohol or illegal drug use, possession, distribution, sale, or manufacturing is permitted either on or off Fresh Start Recovery Coalition property.

•  No alcohol or drug advertising, emblems or logos are allowed (clothing, items, paraphernalia, etc).

•  No threats, acts of violence, or other behavior that we deem as disruptive or intimidating toward any family member, staff, or volunteer is allowed. Threats or violence may result in legal action .

•  No theft of any kind will be allowed.

•  No racial, sexual, or other discriminatory remarks of any kind are allowed.

•  No sexual contact between family members is allowed in or near the homes.

•  For you and your fellow family members' safety, you are required to keep doors locked at all times

•  No smoking is allowed in the house accept in designated smoking areas.

•  Non compliance of the above rules may make it necessary for Fresh Start Recovery Coalition to discharge you.

Good Neighbor Policy

•  Anyone caught violating this policy will be discharged immediately! Our family members must, at all times, act with respect and dignity toward all our neighbors who share our buildings and neighborhoods. This includes not “talking” (especially, bragging) to them (or talking within earshot of them) about experiences involving crime, drinking, drugging, violence, sex, law enforcement or the justice system. All family members, on or near our properties, must speak at a respectable conversational level before 8:00 in the morning and after 10:00 in the evening. It is also important that great respect be shown by keeping the grounds and areas around our homes clean (including the street gutters). This includes cleaning the street gutters in front of our homes as part of the yard chore. Everyone must wear proper clothing at all times.

Visitors

•  Visitors (immediate family only) are welcome in your home within the following guidelines. Visitors are allowed in your home Sunday to Thursday between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM and Friday and Saturdays between 10:00am to 11:00pm which allows Family Members their privacy, relaxation and quiet during the non-visiting times. Visitors may ONLY visit in the living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom areas. ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS IN BEDROOMS OR NO OVERNIGHT VISITORS. The host must greet his/her visitor when they enter the home. The host must escort his/her visitor at all times while they are in the home. The host must escort his/her visitor to the door when they leave the home. While visitors are in the home they must adhere to the same rules and policies of the Family member. Visitors who do not comply will be asked to leave immediately and not allowed to return to the home. Residents from one of FSRC homes are not allowed to visit another FSRC home unless instructed/supervised by FSRC Office.
